Walking Through Cavalaire-sur-Mer
Cavalaire-sur-Mer is first read through its open bay, harbour, long beaches and the hills that close the town as soon as you leave the shoreline.

Cavalaire-sur-Mer occupies a broad bay in the south-western part of the gulf. This very readable geography shapes the walk: a wide seafront, a well-established harbour and then slopes rising behind the town.
A town facing the bay
The first relation to the place is maritime. From the seafront, the town is understood through its curve, its beaches and its views towards open water. The harbour and quays structure the walk and reveal the daily functioning of Cavalaire.
Heritage and local memory
The territory is not limited to the beach. Heritage routes, the archaeological space and the traces of former developments show that Cavalaire has a longer history, between occupation of the shore and twentieth-century change.
How to explore it on foot
The clearest route begins at the harbour and seafront, then continues either along the beaches or into quieter and slightly higher sectors. Out of season, the volumes of the bay become much easier to read.
After Cavalaire-sur-Mer, you can continue towards Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer or return to the villages of the gulf page.
